Reports from F4Wonline.com, as well as a Kayfabe report from WWE.com, have provided an update on the “arrest” of Stephanie McMahon and what will become of her current storyline program with Brie Bella. McMahon was “arrested” during the July 21 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” although she was not actually processed as the “arrest” was merely for the show.
WWE.com has published details regarding McMahon’s “incarceration,” as to keep the storyline going. The following is what they have reported:
Stephanie McMahon was released from the Miami-Dade Police Department at approximately 4 a.m. ET this morning.
Her husband, Triple H, arrived at police headquarters at about 1 a.m. ET and immediately posted bail. Ms. McMahon will need to return to Miami at a later date to face charges of battery and resisting arrest.
Sources say the McMahon family is extremely upset and their attorneys are looking into the best course of action. A source close to Triple H told WWE.com his wife is “an emotional wreck” and “juggling anger, embarrassment, humiliation and self-pity.”
WWE.com contacted Ms. McMahon’s office this morning and, on the advice of her attorney, Stephanie will not speak with the media.
McMahon is currently engaged in a program with the Bella Twins, most notably Brie Bella, who quit the company on June 1 at “Payback” in hopes to “save” her husband Daniel Bryan’s career. Upon quitting the company, Brie slapped McMahon extremely hard in the face. Following that attack, McMahon has strived to make Nikki Bella, who is still employed by the company, pay for her sister’s sins.
Nikki has been brutally beaten at the orders of McMahon week after week. During the July 21 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Brie made her return as a “fan” in the crowd, and McMahon slapped her for calling her a “b**ch.” McMahon would be “charged with” battery and resisting arrest following the encounter.
Brie has been away since “Payback,” but she is returning now to begin the push towards a match between herself and McMahon at “SummerSlam” or “Night Of Champions.” Recent reports have the match slated for Aug. 17 in Los Angeles, where “SummerSlam” will emanate. A stipulation will likely be added to the match, where if McMahon wins, Nikki Bella will be fired from WWE, and if Brie wins, she gets her job back.
Shortly following the McMahon and Brie Bella feud, a sister-against-sister program may begin. Rumors of wanting to turn Nikki Bella and have her feud against her sister have been around for some time now, and have only gotten stronger over the last few weeks. Nikki vs Brie is likely set to occur after Brie vs McMahon is over and done with.
Editor’s Note:
I’m actually interested in Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella. Been a LONG time since Steph’s been in the ring competing.
