The Undertaker may not return to WWE programming until WrestleMania 31, according to reports from PWInsider.com. This news provides contradictory ideas to what Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported previously, which was that ‘Taker would be returning to WWE television after WWE “Fastlane” to build towards a match with Bray Wyatt on the grandest stage of them all.
However, the Phenom was not seen on the Feb. 23 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” which was rumored to be his returning moment. Instead, Wyatt continued to taunt The Undertaker via video vignette, ending his message with, “find me.”
According to PWInsider.com, WWE officials want to keep The Undertaker off TV to build the suspense of his upcoming bout with Wyatt. Much like the build to WrestleMania XX, Undertaker used mind games and the usual lighting effects to taunt Kane leading up to their run-in at the event, but did not appear on television for almost four months prior to the show. Many believe this will be what the Wyatt/Taker program will look like as well.
Wyatt has been setting up the match with The Deadman since December through video packages, backstage promos, and ringside mockery. WWE officials apparently want to keep the mystery of where The Undertaker has been since WrestleMania XXX, what he looks like, and what his condition is in tact until March 29, so Wyatt will continue to carry the program on WWE TV until WrestleMania 31.
