TNA president Dixie Carter is claiming that TNA has just signed a “BIG free agent” to come work for the company. Carter was promoting IMPACT WRESTLING’s new time on SpikeTV and June 2nd’s Slammiversary event on Twitter Thursday afternoon, then went on to state that “the ink was still drying” on a contract with a big name in the wrestling business. Here are her exact words…
And the ink is just drying on a BIG free agent that will rock #ImpactLIVE on @spiketv.Tune in & join us on this summer adventure.

“BIG” free agents are scarce in the professional wrestling world at the moment, so with Carter saying that this talent will “rock” IMPACT WRESTLING, who could she be referring to? Rob Van Dam, who has been a free agent since his TNA contract expired earlier in the year, has been rumored to be returning to either the WWE or TNA soon. Other rumors circulating the internet of who could be joining the TNA roster once Carter made the announcement involved names such as John Morrison, Batista, and even Goldberg. With Slammiversary happening only 3 days after Carter’s announcement, one has to wonder if the new talent will debut at the big Pay-Per-View event, or will they be thrown into the mix during a live IMPACT WRESTLING broadcast.
Continue to check back with WrestlingRumors.net for updates on who this new talent may be. You can also watch IMPACT WRESTLING! Thursdays at a new time, 9pmET on SpikeTV, and TNA’s Slammiversary XI will air on PPV Sunday, June 2nd.
