It seems as if tag teams are to be the WWE’s focus in 2014. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE COO Triple H really wants more tag teams on the roster in 2014 as a way to bring more developmental talents up from NXT onto the main WWE roster.

Word backstage is that Triple H has been pushing for the WWE to get back to building and developing tag teams since he was promoted a few years ago, and the thought now is that they’re finally starting to implement this idea. Tag teams such as the Real Americans are said to be an example of tag teams recently being formed that have worked and the WWE is high on Cesaro and Swagger as a team.

Backstage conversations between WWE officials have taken place about the company holding a three-day tryout camp next year just for tag teams, in order to bring some fresh teams into NXT and the Performance Center, while moving some of the NXT teams up to the main roster. The WWE may even take a few of the singles competitors from NXT and put them together as teams, such as they did with the Real Americans on the main roster.
