Hulk Hogan seems to be done with TNA. As we previously reported, Hogan’s contract is set to expire on October 1st, and many believe that he will not be re-signing with the company.
On the September 26th edition of IMPACT WRESTLING, TNA President (and new on-screen heel) Dixie Carter told Hogan to choose whether or not he is on Team Dixie, or Team AJ [Styles]. With that episode being live, TNA recorded next week’s “Xplosion” and IMPACT WRESTLING episodes following the live broadcast, and Hogan reportedly leaves the company.
Carter comes out to get Hogan’s answer to who’s team is he on, and instead of choosing a side, the “Immortal” one quits TNA. It has been said that Hogan has been unhappy with his position in TNA for a while, and the firing of his daughter Brooke pushed him to the decision to not re-sign with the company.
TNA is also dealing with major financial woes, and freeing up Hogan’s salary will give them a little more tender to work with. His announcement that will air Thursday, October 3rd during the Xplosion broadcast could be legitimate, and the last time we see Hulk Hogan on TNA television for good.
