The Shield is not expected to add a third member to their stable. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are set to carry on the legacy of The Shield as a twosome.
During the June 2 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” former Shield member Seth Rollins turned heel and attacked Ambrose and Reigns. The attack would be the initial split between members of the group, and would be the exclamation point on Rollins’ first run as a Singles competitor on WWE programming.
Since the attack, rumors have swirled around the Internet in regards to whether or not the stable would initiate a new member, and who that superstar would be. Some speculation lead to NXT superstars such as Sami Zayn or Corey Graves, while other names tossed around by WWE.com were Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Big E, NXT Champion Adrian Neville, Cody Rhodes, and former WWE superstar John Morrison.
However, The Shield is not expected to add anyone else to the group. Ambrose and Reigns are rumored to be moving forward with matches against Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, and Triple H as a tag team that will likely compete in more Singles Matches than tag team bouts.
Editor’s Note:
I don’t think these guys need anyone else added to their group. However, if they do wind up adding someone, Graves wouldn’t be a bad option.
