Yesterday, Tuesday, June 10, one of the top prospects in Major League Baseball, Gregory Polanco, made his debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Polanco is a right fielder, whose debut was at PNC Park, meaning he fittingly played in front of Clemente Wall. The wall honors the late great Roberto Clemente, who arguably made the biggest impact for the franchise.

In the third inning, Polanco ended up getting his first hit in the big leagues, a hot line drive to left field. Next up was reigning NL MVP Andrew McCutchen, who homered, driving in Polanco.

In the end, the Pirates lost to the Chicago Cubs by a score of 7-3. Polanco only had the aforementioned hit in five at bats.

In honor of his debut, which was anticipated in Pittsburgh since the start of the baseball season, Benstonium created a WWE style entrance video for Polanco. The video is based off of Chris Jericho’s titantron and entrance upon his debut in the then WWF.

Editor’s Note

Polanco’s debut may not have been as good as Chris Jericho’s, but this kid will be a dominating force in MLB for years to come.
