Former TNA Champion Samoa Joe is set to make his WWE main roster debut on “Superstars” competing against Tyson Kidd. As previously reported, Joe is now working with WWE, and has made his debut for NXT, but it was unsure of whether or not Joe would be appearing on WWE programming as well.
According to fan reports from the June 1 tapings for “Superstars,” Joe defeated Kidd during a bout filmed for the program prior to the June 1 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” The edition of “Superstars” should make its way onto the WWE Network for On Demand viewing in a few weeks.
Joe is set to compete on “NXT” programming beginning in the middle of June, starting a feud with the reigning NXT Champion, Kevin Owens. Joe confronted Owens at the end of “NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable” on May 20, which led to the two facing off against each other during the final set of shows taped for “NXT” on May 21.
Ring of Honor also recently announced that Joe will be appearing during their June 20 television tapings for “ROH TV.” He’ll be teaming with AJ Styles to face Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian during the tapings.
No one knows if Joe will indeed be appearing both on “NXT” and “ROH TV” in June, but it seems as if he’ll also be appearing on “Superstars” during this month as well. Samoa Joe could be featured on three different wrestling shows in June.
Below is a photo of Joe hitting the Muscle Buster on Kidd during the “Superstars” bout.
