The Rock is Not Expected to Appear at WrestleMania 31 or the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock is not expected to appear at WrestleMania 31 or the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony as previously reported. The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, has been rumored to have been sought after by WWE officials to headline the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class. He also has been rumored to have been asked to appear or work a match at WrestleMania 31. However, his acting career may keep him away from both.

The report claims that the opening weekend of The Rock’s upcoming film, “Fast & Furious 7,”  was recently moved from April 3, to April 10. It’s expected that Johnson will have to make a slew of appearances to promote the film, especially the two weeks prior to opening weekend. This would keep him from appearing on WWE TV leading up to WrestleMania 31, which takes place on Mar. 29, 2015.

While Johnson’s inclusion in the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class, and an appearance at WrestleMania 31 would not be impossible, he has made a point to say that he only wants to return to WWE to “break records.” If he cannot compete or appear on television leading up to the event, than there aren’t a lot of options when it comes to records to break.

The Rock WILL go into the WWE Hall of Fame. It’s all a matter of when. If he’s going to be too busy, just wait a year. It shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
