The Road Dogg Jesse James may sing “With My Baby Tonight” on “RAW” Monday night. With the November 18th edition of “Monday Night Raw” having a country music theme, the Road Dogg, who used to sing a his country music themed entrance music to the ring in 1996 and 1997, may return for a one-night-only performance of the song that appeared on WWF: The Music – Volume Two.
James, who competed as “The Roadie Jesse James” before becoming “The Road Dogg,” originally performed “With My Baby Tonight” as Jeff Jarrett’s theme music in 1995. At that time, his character was Jarrett’s roadie, and Jarrett’s character was that of a “famous” country singer. In an angle on WWF television, Jarrett lip synced the song before being fired by Vince McMahon in 1996. It was then revealed that “The Roadie” was the one that actually sang “With My Baby Tonight,” and James began singing the song during his entrance to the ring.
James stated on Twitter Sunday night, that he would be at “Monday Night Raw” in Nashville, Tenn. on November 18th, and that he would be warming up “the chords” for the program. James said,
Had to hit it and get it this morning, 30 mins of cardio then Biceps and abs! Headed to Music City and I’m warming the chords up! #OUDK
