A new report from F4Wonline.com has provided some insight into possible future plans for John Cena following “SummerSlam.” The report claims that Cena himself wants to work a program with Big E potentially this year.
As we previously reported, Cena’s current program with The Wyatt Family may run through “SummerSlam,” which would mean Cena and Big E would be working together following August. The Wyatt Family feud with Cena may wind up involving the Usos moving forward, which would then put Erick Rowan and Luke Harper in line to battle for the WWE Tag Team Championship possibly at “SummerSlam” while Wyatt and Cena work their final match of the program.
Big E would need to turn heel in order for this feud to happen, given that Cena is reportedly going to continue to be pushed as the company’s top babyface this year. As Big E recently lost the Intercontinental Championship, it would be easy for the company to remove him from television for a few weeks/months, then repackage him as a monster heel upon his return late Summer.
Editor’s Note:
I would love to see that. Interesting to see that Cena is distancing himself from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture in order to build up younger guys like Wyatt and Big E. Company man through and through. You marks that “hate” Cena need to take a step back and a least give the man SOME credit for trying to elevate this younger guys.
