Nielsen’s new “Twitter TV” ratings show “Survivor Series” was more successful than “Hell In A Cell” for WWE. The new rating system measures how many people were using the Social Media network of Twitter during a broadcast, and “Survivor Series” was the second-most “tweeted” event held on Nov. 23.
“Survivor Series” saw just over a million more “Twitter viewers” than October’s “Hell In A Cell” event. The annual November PPV registered 2.823 million unique users, which represents the number of Twitter accounts that were commenting about the program the initial night that it aired. “Hell In A Cell” saw 1.808 million “viewers” comment in regards to its content.
A total of 25.286 million impressions about “Survivor Series” were made during the broadcast, which represents the number of times the show was tweeted about. Nielsen tracks hashtags in order to tally this number. This number is also significantly higher than the amount registered for Oct. 26’s “Hell In A Cell,” which pulled in 14.488 million impressions.
The 2014 American Music Awards topped the new “Twitter TV” charts on Nov. 23, with “Survivor Series” coming in at No. 2.
