New reports claim that “The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko is expected to be inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame on March 28. As previously reported, the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place one night prior to WrestleMania 31, and will see legends such as the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Rikishi receive the honor of entering the hall.
Zbyszko competed in the NWA, AWA, WWWF (WWF/WWE), and WCW throughout his career. He is one of the most memorable rivals to long-time WWWF/WWF Champion Bruno Sammartino, as well as “Superstar” Billy Graham and others.
“The Living Legend” finished out his career in WCW as an occasional wrestler-turned-commentator, although he did appear in TNA Wrestling and still makes sporadic appearances in different Independent promotions from time-to-time. As “Monday Nitro” would kick-off every Monday night, shots of the announce team were usually shown as they sat at the table building up the programming that was about to begin. The fans in the arenas would begin chanting for “Larry,” which he would endulge in every single night, by removing his headset, walking away from the table, and acknowledging the fans with his signature salute.
Zbyszko has been under contract with WWE for years now as a “WWE Legend,” and frequents the WWE Performance Center, as well as “NXT” tapings. PWInsider.com claims that he will also be the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2015.
Editor’s Note:
I love “The Living Legend.” He definitely deserves to be honored in this year’s class.
