WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash wants to have a retirement match in a WWE ring, as well as the training and pre-match build-up filmed for a WWE Network “24/7” piece. Nash laid out his desires through his official Twitter account on May 25.
Nash’s tweet reads,
Would love to do a real retirement match. With a build up on the Network training, like a 24/7 HBO deal. WWE put me out of my misery
— Kevin Nash (@RealKevinNash) May 26, 2015
Nash brings up the “24/7” program that premium Cable network HBO does for their boxing events. This would be similar to WWE Network’s “24/7” program, where a superstar or event is shot 24 hours a day leading up to said event or milestone moment (for the superstar). Nash wants the build for the match, and his training regimen to be filmed for the WWE Network show.
Nash most recently competed for WWE at the “Royal Rumble” PPV in January, 2014. He entered the fray and lasted 36 seconds before Roman Reigns eliminated him from the Battle Royal. Nash’s last singles bout was a Ladder Match with Triple H at WWE “TLC” in 2011. The match involved a sledgehammer as it’s added stipulation.
Big Daddy Cool would then go on to headline the 2015 class of the WWE Hall of Fame, being inducted with the likes of the “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Alundra Blayze (Madusa), and The Bushwhackers. He made an appearance alongside fellow nWo members Scott Hall and “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan during the Triple H vs. Sting match at WrestleMania 31, fighting against D-Generation X members X-Pac, “Road Dogg” Jesse James, and “Mr. Ass” Billy Gunn.
Editor’s Note:
I’d like to see Nash have one last hurrah. I’d like to see it.
