Jim Ross Says Cesaro is a Main Eventer and Needs to be Turned Loose

In a new post on his official website, JRsBarBQ.com, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross says Cesaro is a main eventer and needs to be turned loose on WWE programming. Ross goes on to say he wants to see Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar some day, and he also applauds Titus O’Neil’s entertaining commentary during a third-hour tag team bout featured during the July 6 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”

Ross talks about enjoying the July 6 “RAW” main event, which was Cesaro facing United States Champion John Cena for the second week in a row. He writes,

“Enjoyed John Cena vs. Cesaro on RAW Monday night. Cena is the consummate pro and Cesaro showed, again, that he’s ready for main events on a regular basis with no start and stop involved. Turn Cesaro loose. I’d love to see Cesaro vs Lesnar some day.”

Ross also gives the rub to O’Neil in regards to how entertaining and “in it” he was while on commentary during the Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day “RAW” bout. He writes,

“Congrats to Titus O’Neil for the entertaining color commentary. Nice work and with practice Titus may find himself another home in the biz in the future. He certainly would vie for best dressed broadcaster on TV wrestling shows that’s for sure.”

Editor’s Note:

Ross is dead on about Cesaro and O’Neil. Cesaro, even with the hindrance of his speaking ability, is possibly the best worker on WWE’s roster. He can simply do (and admittedly by Cena) things that no one else can do. He should stay in the main event picture…at least…hopefully…not jobbing to King Barrett next week.

Titus on commentary was the best color job of the night. The way he continuously owned JBL was amazing. Let’s hope Vince McMahon saw it as entertaining, and not as disrespect. Otherwise, PTP may drop those titles come “Battleground” and begin losing to The Ascension…which is the ultimate tag team slap in the face in WWE right now.
