Jim Ross Claims that Vince McMahon is Aggressive

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross claims that Vince McMahon is aggressive as a producer. UK’s Total Wrestling Magazine has released a few quotes from a new interview with Ross that will be available soon, where Ross opens up about working with McMahon.

In regards to what it was like to work with an aggressive producer like McMahon, Ross says,

“I had good days and bad days being produced by Vince. No one likes to be yelled at but after working for Bill Watts there was nothing that could be yelled at me by McMahon that I hadn’t heard before.

Vince is aggressive and a perfectionist and is set in his ways, by and large. Working as a broadcaster isn’t easy and being overproduced can detract from a broadcast in my view. I survived aggressive producing better than some because I tried to not take it personally.”

Good producers should motivate and lead… not rant and rave.”

Ross “left” the WWE back in August, in what was reportedly a “retirement” move for the Hall of Famer. However, many believe that Ross was asked to step down from his position and leave the company, or he would have been fired by McMahon and the WWE.

The most popular rumor concerning whether or not Ross was asked to step down stems from his involvement in the now infamous “WWE 2K14 Celebrity Panel” that took place on August 17th. Ross was apparently blamed for not being able to control two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who appeared to be inebriated, and was said to have “highjacked” the press conference by telling long, but entertaining stories about the business.

Others on the panel were never even allowed to speak because Flair talked throughout most of the event, and Ross was said to have been the man told to make sure the PR event went smoothly.

With McMahon reportedly looking for a reason to fire Ross for some time, his failure to maintain the WWE 2K14 panel is rumored to be the catalyst the WWE needed to finally let Ross go.
