San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum celebrated his second career no-hitter on June 25 by joining the “Yes Movement.” Following the game, Lincecum joined his fellow teammates in a chorus of “Yes” chants in the locker room.

A Vine video of the celebration soon hit the internet. The “Yes Movement” continues to infiltrate all genres of sports and entertainment. College football, basketball, professional baseball, soccer, and hockey have all joined the “Yes Movement,” thrusting their arms to the sky and chanting “YES!” as a celebratory gesture.

It’s not only the “Yes Movement” that has made it’s way into popular culture from the genre of professional wrestling. Athletes now enter the arenas or stadiums to entrance music. When teams win championships, teammates by everyone replica WWE titles. Baseball players have custom Titantron videos made for their debuts. The influence of professional wrestling on popular culture and every other sport in the world is obvious.
