The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the late “Dr. Death” Steve Williams may enter the 2014 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. Williams, who competed as a professional wrestler from 1982 until he retired in 2009, passed away in 2009 after a long battle with throat cancer.

Williams wrestled for multiple companies, including the NWA, WCW, WWE, as well as a number of independent and Japanese promotions. Williams most memorable stint in the WWE came during the Attitude Era, where he debuted and entered the infamous “Brawl for All” competition. He would get to the semi-finals, only to then tear a hamstrung and be knocked out by Bart Gunn during the event. He then wrestled shortly before being released, with Jim Ross serving as his manager.

Other notable names being rumored for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame class include Paul Bearer, The Undertaker, and Degeneration X.
