Former World Heavyweight Champion and recently “injured” superstar Dolph Ziggler is being advertised for “RAW” on July 27, meaning his WWE return may happen earlier than expected. As previously reported, Ziggler was not believed to be scheduled to return to further build towards his upcoming match with Rusev until the last week before “SummerSlam,” which takes place on Aug. 23.

Ziggler was written off WWE television four weeks ago, where he suffered a “throat injury” at the hands of his Bulgarian nemesis Rusev. The storyline was created to help progress the two superstars’ feud with one another, and to get Ziggler off of WWE TV for a month.

WWE’s resident “Show-Off” left TV in order to go film a motion picture for WWE Studios, entitled, “6:42.” His character will be that of police officer Ray Fitzpatrick, who has deal with his past, while also stopping a bomb from going off. Filming is taking place currently in Vancouver, Canada.

Ziggler is slated to return and help set-up a bout between himself and Rusev for “SummerSlam” whenever he does make his way back to WWE TV. According to advertisements through WWE.com, Ziggler is expected to appear during the July 27 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”

Editor’s Note:

Will Ziggler return and attack Rusev during a match tonight to spark some fire back into this program? I’d bet on that happening when he does return. Tonight though, the question is will he return tonight? Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
