One of the most popular tag teams in the history of NXT developmental may soon be called up to WWE’s main roster.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass competed during a recent WWE Live Event in Odessa, Texas, with Carmella in their corner.

Per Wrestlezone.com, the tandem defeated The Ascension, and we’re wildly over with the live crowd.

It appears that Enzo and Cass are no longer involved in the NXT Tag Team Championship picture, with Simon Gotch and Aiden English of the Vaudevillians  taking over as the primary challengers to Blake & Murphy.

With the two having been down in NXT for several years, and creative seemingly having nothing for them, this could be a sign that Enzo and Cass will be making their way to weekly WWE programming in the not-too-distant future.

Editor’s Note

WWE’s Tag Team Championship scene has primarily revolved around the Prime Time Players and The New Day for the past few months. Outside of those pairings, there aren’t many credible teams to throw into the title hunt at the moment, barring a surge/push for The Ascension or Lucha Dragons. Enzo and Cass are a fresh unit, full of funny catchphrases that can get the WWE Universe on their side in a heartbeat. This is long overdue.
