Wrestling Rumors previously reported that World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler has been medically cleared to compete again for the WWE. We also reported that he would be returning for the WWE Live Events that took place between June 7-9th. While Ziggler did appear at said events, he did not compete in the ring.
Many believed that with Ziggler’s medical clearance finalized last week, that he would compete during these house shows in order to shake off some ring rust and prepare for a possible World Heavyweight Championship match with Alberto Del Rio at WWE Payback. However, Ziggler simply made appearances accompanying Big E Langston to the ring. He did cut promos, stating that he was NOT yet medically cleared to face Del Rio during the live events. These statements have made the wrestling world wonder if he is in fact cleared or not. Many believe that he has been given the green light to compete again, but the WWE just wanted to keep him fresh and not let him compete until the upcoming Pay-Per-View this Sunday, June 16th.
Ziggler has been advertised for the June 10th edition of Monday Night Raw, although it is uncertain if he will compete or not. With belief that Ziggler will compete at Payback, the question remains, will Ziggler show up and show off this Sunday on PPV?
