WWE issued a press release on July 16 promoting their “WrestleMania XXX NBC Special,” which will air on the broadcast television network on Aug. 3. Upon review of the press release however, it is clear that former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania XXX victories will not be shown on NBC.

The “WrestleMania XXX NBC Special” will be a one-hour television event, which will prelude into NBC’s first “Sunday Night Football” game of the year on Aug. 3. The press release hypes up the WrestleMania XXX opening segment, which featured Hulk Hogan, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and The Rock, as well as Bray Wyatt vs John Cena, and Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker. Daniel Bryan is not mentioned in the advertisement and will not be featured during the special.

Bryan defeated WWE COO Triple H in the opening match at WrestleMania XXX to get inserted into the main event, which then became a Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Bryan would defeat both Batista and then champion Randy Orton to bring home his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, neither of these matches will be airing on NBC come Aug. 3.

Editor’s Note:
I understand that they only have an hour, so it’s best to show the face of your company in Cena, and the end of the Streak, but it’s weird that they wouldn’t show Bryan’s matches…UNLESS they harp on people subscribing to the WWE Network in order to see Bryan’s historic victories in New Orleans.
