Multiple reports are claiming that Daniel Bryan is being partially blamed for this year’s SummerSlam buyrate being lower than expected. PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE officials aren’t putting all of the blame on Bryan, but that his involvement in the main event was part of the reason the PPV didn’t sell like they’d hoped it would.
The report also states that some of the higher WWE officials, such as those in the upper-managment positions, believe that if Bryan was bigger, the event would have made more money.
