Cody Rhodes Posts Eulogy For His Father Dusty Rhodes on Twitter

Cody Rhodes, or better yet, “Stardust,” has posted the eulogy he wrote for the late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes funeral service, on his official Twitter account. “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes passed away on June 11, and his funeral service was held in Florida on June 17.

His son Cody, who has been wrestling as Stardust for some time now, broke out of character to post this moving eulogy through the “Stardust” Twitter account. Rhodes himself has his own Twitter account that is separate from the WWE sanctioned “Stardust” one, but chose to share his beautiful words with the world through that one.

The eulogy reads as follows,

Prior to this post, Rhodes had not yet publicly commented on the passing of his father. His half-brother Dustin, “Goldust,” Runnels had made a public statement just 48 hours removed from the passing of the late, great, Hall of Famer.

WWE released a statement regarding Rhodes’ passing on Thursday, June 11, after the Hall of Famer had reportedly collapsed in his home on Wednesday, June 10. Rhodes joined the incredible roster-in-the-sky at 69 years-old.

Editor’s Note:

Beautiful words. Our prayers and thoughts continue to go out to the Runnels family.
