The latest edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio” has provided a backstage update on Erick Rowan’s arm injury. WWE reported that Rowan suffered the injury on June 19 while working a WWE Live Event.
WWE published the following statement regarding Rowan’s injury on June 22,
“Erick Rowan sustained an injury at Friday night’s Live Event in Saginaw, Mich., and he is in the process of undergoing medical evaluation.”
Dave Meltzer of “Wrestling Observer Radio” claims that the injury is of Rowan’s arm, and it is believed to be serious or significant. This would put Rowan and Luke Harper’s potential upcoming creative plans on hold for a few months or so.
Meltzer claims that the evaluations seemed to reveal a serious injury, though Rowan worked the Saturday night WWE Live Event through the pain. Rowan recently reunited with Harper as a tag team, using the Dudley Boyz old finishing maneuver the “3-D.” They are calling their version of the move, “The Way.”
Both Harper and Bubba Ray Dudley (Bully Ray) have gone back and forth on Twitter about the usage of the move, seemingly planting seeds for a match in the future.
Editor’s Note:
Sucks! I was REALLY hoping for a Dudley Boyz vs. The Wyatt Family match at “SummerSlam” on Aug. 23. A “who’s version of the 3-D/The Way” is better match.
