PWInsider.com has provided some backstage news on Sting working at the WWE Performance Center during the week prior to WWE “Fastlane.” According to the report, Sting has been in Orlando, where WWE held “Monday Night Raw” on Feb. 16, and where the WWE Performance Center and NXT call “home,” doing something with the company.
It’s believed that Sting has been down in Florida over the last few days to work on his upcoming face-to-face encounter with Triple H at WWE “Fastlane,” which will take place on Feb. 22. As previously reported, Triple H and Sting are destined to confront each other about Sting’s “interference” in The Authority’s business since November while face-to-face at “Fastlane.”
They will also build towards their upcoming match at WrestleMania 31. Sting is slated to make four more appearances for the company, with March 29, WrestleMania, being the last date on his current “talent” contract. Sting made his debut for WWE at the 2014 “Survivor Series,” where his presence influenced the finish of the main event, which caused The Authority to temporarily be removed from their power within WWE.
He then made a second appearance, his “Monday Night Raw” debut, on Jan. 19 in order to cost The Authority yet another important bout. This is why Triple H and the Stinger are meeting face-to-face at WWE “Fastlane,” and will be why they ultimately compete in a match at WrestleMania on March 29.
Editor’s Note:
Good to see that they’re wanting to rehearse through some things with Sting and get him prepared for these next two events. They need to be stellar, as this may be his only run ever in WWE. He’s waited 13-14 years for this. I hope they make it worth his while.
