Later on, wrestling insider website PWInsider confirmed the news, stating that this was not part of a storyline. Samoa Joe and TNA are said to have parted ways “amicably,” with no ill-will between the two parties.

Samoa Joe had a lengthy tenure with TNA, one that lasted almost 10 years. Joe jumped ship from Ring of Honor to TNA in June of 2005. Also, his tenure with TNA was a decorated one. In addition to being a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Joe was a five-time X Division Champion, two-time World Tag Team Champion, and one-time Television Champion.

For now, it is unclear as to what Samoa Joe’s future holds. There is plenty of fan speculation that Joe will make a triumphant return to Ring of Honor. Additionally, with his past ties to Japanese promotion Pro Wrestling Noah, there is also speculation that Joe will join New Japan Wrestling.

Editor’s Note

Wow, really didn’t expect to see that. Intrigued as to where Samoa Joe goes now.
