According to multiple fans who were in attendance during the Sept. 29 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” another round of “sign jacking” took place during the event. Reportedly, arena security was told to confiscate fan signs mentioning CM Punk during “RAW,” which seems to be “par for the course” as of late.

WWE having signs that are not offensive removed from fans’ possession has become a new standard during televised events. While no one knows for sure why the company is trying to control what type of fan-made expression can be seen at a WWE event, especially when they are not offensive in any way, these types of reports are becoming more and more frequent.

One fan claims that he made a “Thank You Punk” sign and held it up proudly during the Sept. 29 “RAW” in Punk’s hometown of Chicago. The sign was then taken from him by the hands of arena security. The fan, along with others, began screaming at security demanding an explanation, and their answer was, “It’s per orders of WWE; it’s not my decision.”

Editor’s Note:
This is getting out of hand. You can’t bring a sign that says “Thank You Punk?” YOU’RE SHOWING HIM ALL OVER THE WWE NETWORK, BUT FANS CAN’T THANK HIM ON A FREAKIN’ PIECE OF POSTER BOARD? God forbid a “Thank You Punk” sign show up on hard camera. Give me a break, WWE. Worry about putting on a better freaking show than about an unoffensive sign of respect shown by a fan to one of the superstars that got you through the last 4 FREAKING years.
