Bring him back. WWE superstar Butch has been a member of the main roster since March 11, 2022, when he allied himself with Ridge Holland and Sheamus as a member of the Brawling Brutes. While that was a great moment for Butch, that is not the name that he has always been known by and some members of the WWE Universe were wondering if they would ever see the old incarnation of his character.

Those questions were answered on tonight’s episode of Smackdown, as Butch reverted to his old name of Pete Dunne. He teamed with Tyler Bate to defeat Pretty Deadly in a tag team match.

You can see his return below:

Dunne has been a member of WWE since 2017, as a member of NXT UK. Over the next few years, he would win the WWE United Kingdom championship and eventually make his way to NXT, where he would win the NXT Tag Team Championships with Matt Riddle.

Editor’s Opinion;

YES! This is freaking awesome. The Bruiserweight was always one of the most popular and dominant superstars in WWE and it always seemed weird to me that he was known as Butch. However, he did a great job of giving whatever WWE gave him and making it work, and I can’t wait to see now that Pete Dunne is back!
