Boy, does this bring back some memories. And I’m not saying that’s a good thing.

Over the weekend, WWE posted a video to their YouTube page in which Kevin Federline cost John Cena his opportunity to win the World Heavyweight Championship from King Booker at “Cyber Sunday” in 2006. “K-Fed” made his way to ringside and distracted Cena, allowing Booker to get the win.

You can see the full video below:

Federline is most known for being married to Britney Spears from 2004-2006.

However, he appeared on WWE programming in 2006 to help promote his hip-hop album “Playing With Fire.” He worked a program with Cena, but was met with two AA’s on his final night with the promotion.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Federline was received well backstage and the company was open to working with him again.

Editor’s Note:

Man, I remember this storyline with Federline and Cena and I was absolutely disgusted by it. “K-Fed” was one of the most hated celebrities in the world during that time, and the fact that he was getting over on Cena was infuriating to a lot of fans. However, now that I look at it with a more mature set of eyes, I understand that it was great business by all parties involved.
