When the boss is not happy, it’s never a good thing. According to a new report from Wrestling Inc., Vince McMahon was reportedly furious with the Intercontinental Championship match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose at the 2018 TLC pay-per-view.
You can see a clip of the match below:
As the match progressed, it became fairly evident that the crowd was not into it at all. They began chants of “this is boring” and “Becky”, while generally being uninterested in what was going on in the ring.
The match saw Ambrose pin Rollins to win the title.
It is unknown at this time whether McMahon is planning to pull the plug on this feud, or keep it going into 2019.
Editor’s Opinion:
I have a few theories on why this was the case. First, the match was late in the show and the crowd was getting tired. Second, they were most likely anticipating a brawl or major fight, but instead got a slow-paced, methodical wrestling match. Finally, Rollins’ knee seemed to be tweaked during the match, and I don’t know if it was a legit injury or not.
