Tonight on “Monday Night Raw,” Sheamus and Cesaro took on Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to determine who the No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championships would be. However, The New Day was sitting at ringside, and as a result of the animosity between all three teams, a brawl broke out.

As a result, it was declared that The New Day would defend their titles against Gallows/Anderson and Sheamus/Cesaro in a Triple Threat Match next week on “Raw.”
The New Day are on the cusp of making WWE history. They have currently held the Tag Team Championships for 470 days, marking the the second longest reign of all time. If they can survive next week’s match, they will surpass Demolition, who currently holds the record at 478 days, with the longest reign of all time.
Editor’s Note:
Having The New Day lose the tag team titles at this point would be a TERRIBLE idea. Not only are they within a week of the record, but to me, they are still one of the most entertaining acts on the entire roster.
