7. Kevin Owens Arrives in WWE and Defeats John Cena

Kevin Owens Says Brock Lesnar is His Dream Opponent

Despite what the Slammys told us, Kevin Owens has easily been the hottest new commodity of 2015, since debuting on the main roster back in May. Prior to arriving in NXT, Owens has had a legendary career on the indy scene, and had created a buzz due to his intense ring ability, and gift with words on the microphone.

However, no one expected KO to defeat WWE’s golden boy, John Cena, in his very first match on the main roster, at “Battleground.” Since then, he has gone on to have two other fantastic matches with Cena in the summer months, along with winning the Intercontinental Championship. A match between Owens and Brock Lesnar has even rumored for WrestleMania 32.

If Owens keeps on the current path that he is, there is no telling what heights he will rise to in 2016. Perhaps even a run at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is in his future…
