Actor Stephen Amell has posted a new video to his Facebook page, where he makes several references to his recent involvement with World Wrestling Entertainment.

In the video, he thanks everyone for allowing him to be a guest at the recent edition of “Monday Night Raw” in Everett, Washington, and says that everyone in the company made the experience for him and his people very positive. He also addresses people who “look down their nose on the WWE product”, and shares some data regarding the vast presence the company has on social media.

As previously reported, Amell will be teaming with Neville to take on the duo of Stardust and King Barrett at the upcoming “SummerSlam” pay-per-view in Brooklyn, New York, on Aug. 23. Amell states that he is too busy to train for his upcoming match, due to the fact that he is an actor, and his schedule won’t allow him to do so. Furthermore, he states that this will be his one and only appearance in a WWE ring.

He also talks about who is favorite wrestler is, answers some questions from fans, discusses the amount of likes on his Facebook page, and some other random thoughts.

Amell is best known for his portrayal of Oliver Queen on the television show “Arrow”, which is a re-imagining of DC Comics superhero, The Green Arrow. When he enters the ring at “SummerSlam” however, he will be entering as Stephen Amell, and not the character that he plays on TV – although he said there will be some theatrics behind his entrance.

In a humorous and somewhat ironic twist, Amell speaks with a bit of a lisp in the video, due to the fact that he injured himself while working out. He claims that none of his facial injuries came from his time on “Raw”, but he did hurt his forearm and elbow by “banging it on Stardust’s face”. This is referring to the altercation between the two on Monday night, which was previously reported to occur, where Amell jumped the railing after Stardust provoked him. This lead to Triple H setting up the aforementioned match at “SummerSlam”.

You can find the full interview on Amell’s Facebook page here.

Editor’s Note:

I have to admit that I had no desire or interest in this feud until this past Monday night. Amell looked like a natural in the ring, and he went right after Stardust with no issues at all. His backstage interview with Triple H was very believable as well, and I believe that this was set up to be a great cross-promotional match, with some very talented wrestlers.
