The official Twitter account for “SummerSlam” sent out the following tweet earlier today, indicating the repercussions for Brock Lesnar’s actions against Randy Orton:
BREAKING: @StephMcMahon fines @BrockLesnar $500 for his actions at @SummerSlam. https://t.co/2TFoGqMiEI pic.twitter.com/5kiuMFCE3o

WWE.com also released the following story, elaborating more on the situation:
Brock Lesnar’s brutal SummerSlam main event assault on Randy Orton has cost The Beast Incarnate $500.
Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon confirmed on Monday night that Lesnar would face repercussions for his vicious actions against The Viper at The Biggest Event of the Summer. The WWE Universe learned on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live Pre-Show that the $500 fine was set by Stephanie.
Is the fee enough to satiate SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon’s peace of mind for the heinous act inflected upon one of his show’s top Superstars? Is this seemingly paltry sum an insult to Shane and SmackDown Live? How will Lesnar’s fine impact the already strained relations between Team Red and Team Blue?
In the final match of “SummerSlam,” Lesnar sat on top of Orton, and attacked him with a series of repeated blows, much like a UFC fight. One of the elbows connected square with Orton’s forehead, and caused him to be busted wide open. There was so much blood, that Orton required 10 staples in his forehead following the match. Lesnar was awarded the victory by TKO.
Editor’s Note:
I absolutely think that Brock Lesnar should never wrestle in WWE again. There is absolutely no excuse for his actions against Orton; it was not only a threat to Orton’s professional longevity, but also to his long-term personal health. That being said, this move by Stephanie is a brilliant way to elongate the storyline and dissension between herself and Shane, as the commissioners of “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” respectively.
