Special Live WWE Event: “Shield’s Final Chapter” Results

Tonight, the WWE Network aired a special Live Event, which showed the final match of the trio known as The Shield. This is in wake of the news that Dean Ambrose is leaving the company.

Below are the results from that event, courtesy of Josh Lopez of Pro Wrestling Transcriptions:

First Match: Finn Balor (c) vs. Elias For The WWE Intercontinental Championship

Elias attacks Balor before the bell rings. Elias kicks Balor in the gut. Elias is throwing haymakers at Balor. Balor reverses out of the irish whip from Elias. Elias goes for a sunset flip, but Balor counters with a basement dropkick. Balor is fired up. Elias drives Balor back first into the turnbuckles. Elias repeatedly stomps on Balor’s chest. Elias kicks Balor in the back. Elias repeatedly slams the left shoulder of Balor on the ring apron. Elias with the cover for a one count. Elias applies an arm-bar. Elias drives his knee into the midsection of Balor. Balor kicks Elias in the chest. Elias responds with a knee drop.

Elias applies a hammer lock. Elias drives the injured shoulder of Balor into the top turnbuckle pad. Elias hooks the leg for a two count. Elias kicks Balor in the ribs. Elias fish hooks Balor. Balor with a hammerlock reversal. Balor kicks Elias in the jaw. Balor side steps Elias into the turnbuckles. Balor with a knife edge chop. Balor with an arm-ringer. Elias goes for a Bodyslam, but Balor lands back on his feet. Balor applies a waist lock. Elias decks Balor with a back elbow smash. Balor ducks a clothesline from Elias. Balor rolls Elias over for a two count.

Elias applies The Fujiwara Arm-Bar. Balor with a double leg takedown. Balor follows that with a Standing Double Foot Stomp. Balor hits The SlingBlade. Balor goes for The ShotGun Dropkick, but Elias counters with a Running Lariat for a two count. Balor with an inside cradle for a two count. Balor drops Elias with an Apron Enzuigiri. Elias negates The CoupeDe Grace. Elias with two haymakers. Balor creates distance with a shoulder block. Balor with a sunset flip for a two count. Balor connects with The La Magistral to pickup the victory.

Winner: Still WWE Intercontinental Champion, Finn Balor via Pinfall 

Second Match: The Riott Squad vs. Bayley & Ember Moon

Bayley and Logan will start things off. Collar and Elbow Tie Up. Logan backs Bayley into the turnbuckles. Bayley applies a side headlock. Bayley drops Logan with a shoulder tackle. Bayley dives over Logan. Bayley bounces Logan’s head on the top turnbuckle pad. Logan with a knife edge chop. Logan with a waist lock takedown. Logan howls for the crowd. Logan applies an arm-bar. Bayley whips Logan to the corner. Logan launches Bayley to the ring apron. Bayley is distracted by Liv Morgan. Logan drives Bayley face first into the top turnbuckle pad. Logan tags in Ruby. Ruby kicks Bayley in the gut. Bayley side steps Logan into the turnbuckles. Bayley tags in Moon. Moon sweeps the legs of Ruby. Moon with multiple rollups. Ruby tugs on Moon’s hair.

Logan goes for a Hip Toss, but Moon lands back on her feet. Moon with a deep arm-drag takedown. Moon with a Tilt-A-Whirl Skull Crushing Finale. Moon tags in Bayley. Bayley delivers a Ring Post Dropkick. Bayley follows that with a Jumping Knee Strike. Morgan shoves Bayley off the top turnbuckle. Logan with a ShotGun Dropkick for a two count.The Riott Squad are cutting the ring in half.  Logan tags in Ruby. Ruby applies The Cravate. Bayley is trying to create separation. Ruby drops Bayley with a running elbow strike for a two count. Ruby drives her knee into the back of Bayley’s neck. Morgan slaps Bayley from the outside. Ruby tags in Logan.

Logan locks in The Reverse Texas CloverLeaf. Bayley dumps Logan face first on the top turnbuckle pad. Logan tags in Ruby. Ruby knocks Moon off the ring apron. Bayley finally makes the hot tag to Moon. Moon dropkicks Ruby. Moon with a Spinning Back Kick. Moon follows that with a Step Up Enzuigiri. Moon delivers The Pump Kick for a two count. Moon with a SpringBoard Crossbody Block for a two count. Ruby reverses out of the irish whip from Moon. Ruby drills Moon with a High Knee Strike. The referee ejects Liv Morgan from the ringside area. Ruby is pissed. Moon plants Ruby with The Eclipse to pickup the victory.

Winner: Bayley & Ember Moon via Pinfall 

Third Match: The Shield vs. Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre in a 6-Man Tag Team Match 

Rollins and Corbin will start things off. Collar and Elbow Tie Up. Corbin applies a side headlock. Corbin drops Rollins with a shoulder tackle. Corbin mocks Rollins. Corbin poses for the crowd. Corbin goes back to the side headlock. Rollins drops down on the canvas. Rollins dropkicks Corbin. Rollins applies a wrist lock. Rollins tags in Ambrose. Following a snap mare takeover, Ambrose with a sliding clothesline. Rollins with a running knee drop. Ambrose with a running elbow drop. Ambrose transitions into a corner mount. Corbin with a forearm smash. Corbin tags in Lashley. Lashley leapfrogs over Ambrose. Ambrose drops Lashley with a running clothesline. Ambrose with a running forearm smash. The Shield are double teaming Lashley. Reigns with a Big Boot. Lashley tags in McIntyre. McIntyre and Reigns are trading back and forth shots.

Reigns hits The Samoan Drop for a two count. Reigns tags in Ambrose. Ambrose dives over McIntyre. Ambrose launches McIntyre over the top rope. Ambrose lands The Suicide Dive. Ambrose rolls McIntyre back into the ring. McIntyre knocks Ambrose off the ring apron. Corbin and Lashley attacks Ambrose behind the referee’s back. McIntyre dumps Ambrose chest first on the barricade. McIntyre stomps on the left hand of Ambrose. McIntyre tags in Lashley. Lashley repeatedly stomps on Ambrose chest. Lashley is choking Ambrose with his boot. Lashley with a Vertical Suplex for a two count. Lashley dumps Ambrose out of the ring. Lashley taunts Rollins. Corbin, Lashley and McIntyre are cutting the ring in half. Lashley with a straight right hand. Lashley breaks the referee’s ten count. Lashley tags in Corbin.

Corbin delivers a gut punch. Ambrose fires back with three knife edge chops. Corbin knocks The Shield off the apron. Ambrose with a double leg takedown. Ambrose applies The Figure Four Leg Lock. McIntyre rakes the eyes of Ambrose. Corbin bounces Ambrose head on the top turnbuckle pad. Corbin tags in McIntyre. Ambrose with a Suplex Reversal. McIntyre tags in Lashley. Lashley stops Ambrose in his tracks. Lashley applies a bear hug. Lashley with an OverHead Belly to Belly Suplex for a two count. Lashley continues to taunt Reigns & Rollins. Reigns grabs a steel chair. The referee is trying to calm down Reigns. Lashley tags in McIntyre. McIntyre rolls Ambrose back into the ring. Ambrose ducks a clothesline from McIntyre. Ambrose with a NeckBreaker. Rollins and Corbin are tagged in.

Rollins with a SpringBoard Clothesline. Rollins clears the ring. Rollins hits The SlingBlade. Rollins with a SlingShot Crossbody Block. Corbin goes for a ChokeSlam BackBreaker, but Rollins rolls him over for a two count. Rollins SuperKicks Corbin. Rollins is burning it down in Moline. Rollins thrust kicks the midsection of Corbin. Rollins clotheslines McIntyre over the top rope. Corbin attacks Rollins from behind. Corbin has Rollins perched on the top turnbuckle. Corbin tags in Lashley. Corbin and Lashley goes for a Double SuperPlex, but Rollins blocks it. Rollins with a Flying Crossbody Block. Rollins tags in Reigns.

Reigns clotheslines Corbin over the top rope. Reigns with an Inverted Atomic Drop. Reigns follows that with a Jumping Clothesline. Lashley dodges The SuperMan Punch. Lashley decks Reigns with a back elbow smash. Reigns unloads Two SuperMan Punches. Reigns tags in Ambrose. Ambrose with a Flying Elbow Smash for a two count. McIntyre transitions into a ground and pound attack. McIntyre tags in Corbin. Corbin and McIntyre goes for a Double Suplex, but Rollins gets in the way. Rollins and Ambrose with Stereo SuperKicks. Reigns Spears Lashley. Rollins hits The Curb Stomp. Ambrose connects with Dirty Deeds. The Shield plants Corbin with The Cerberus PowerBomb to pickup the victory.

Winner: The Shield via Pinfall 

After a few moments of celebrating, Rollins grabs a microphone. Loud “Thank you Ambrose” chants from the crowd, followed by “Please don’t go.” Rollins tells the crowd they tried that one already. He says that beating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship was a culmination of his last 15 years in the business, but that it wouldn’t have been possible without the Shield brotherhood. “I love you,” says Rollins, before passing the microphone to Ambrose.

Ambrose puts over Moline for being where Rollins grew up. He says that if you work hard and follow your dreams…you can be Universal Champion just like he did. He commends Reigns for fighting for his life, then says that the power of the Shield is proof that anything is possible. They strike the Shield pose one last time, while Rollins holds his title high in the air.
