This is only a rumor, so take it for what it’s worth. The Royal Rumble is always one of the most exciting and fun events of the year. With special returns, exciting action and the chance for a new superstar to establish him or herself in the top of WWE, it’s a night wresting fans look forward to each year.
But who will be calling the action?
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jerry “The King Lawler” will be calling the 2019 Royal Rumble match, along with Michael Cole and JBL. Lawler made the announcement on a recent episode of his podcast.
“The King” made a brief cameo last week on Raw, when the show was in Memphis. You can see a clip from a bigger segment with him below:
Lawler also mentioned that he had signed a new two-year contract with WWE, which included a pay raise.
Editor’s Opinion:
If Corey Graves is not a part of the Rumble announce team, it will be a travesty. He is the best commentator in the company right now and is absolute gold! If he is joining the other three, then that’s fine, but that could be too much talking going on at one time.
