Rumor: Triple H Wants Alberto Del Rio Gone From WWE

I had hesitated to post this rumor, because I thought it might just be someone making up their own news.

However, after the events of today, this rumor might be more real than we think.

According to a report from Sportskeeda, it is being rumored that Triple H is not very big on Del Rio, and wants him out of the company. This is not the first time that this idea has come out, and it had been previously reported that there was heat between the two backstage.

Heading into the WWE Draft last month, Vince McMahon was still high on Del Rio, and wanted to give him a big push. However, Triple H immediately went to McMahon and said that it was a bad idea for several reasons.

Triple H feels that Del Rio’s contract status is an issue, and that if he was going to one of the top stars in the company, that WWE would have to shell out more money to keep him. In addition to this, Triple H feels that Del Rio parties too much, and is a bad influence on his real life girlfriend, Paige. With her only being 24 years of age, she has the potential for a lengthy and bright future with the company, and Triple H doesn’t want that compromised for any reason.

Earlier today, both Del Rio and Paige were suspended for violating the company’s wellness policy, so it would appear that this concern seems legitimate.

However, there is concern that if Del Rio were to be released from the company, that Paige would follow. With her currently being out of action due to an injury, it would be easy for her to simply ask for her release should Del Rio be fired.

The more I think about this rumor, the more it seems plausible; especially with the news regarding Del Rio that surfaced earlier today. And as talented as Paige is, she would be a fool to leave the company if Del Rio were to be fired. She is an incredible talent, and could go down as one of the greats of all time.
