Rumor: Sasha Banks’ Partner For “Battleground” Revealed (Spoiler)

Ever since it was announced that Sasha Banks and a mystery partner would be taking on Charlotte and Dana Brooke at “Battleground,” speculation has been running wild on who that partner would be.

According to a report from PWInsider.com, the plan as of this morning is to have Bayley be revealed as Banks’ partner.

Although Banks’ has recently denied that Bayley would be her partner, according to the report, this has been the plan ever since the match was booked. This is also the reason why Bayley was not drafted as a part of the WWE Draft last week; in order to heighten the reaction for her unexpected debut.

Bayley has said this past week that since she was not drafted to the main roster, her top priority is to regain the NXT Women’s Championship from Asuka. There have also been reports that the reason that Bayley was not drafted, is because WWE feels that they still need her star power in NXT.

This would not surprise me one bit, as I’ve felt that this was the plan all along. I wrote an opinion piece earlier this week saying that Bayley was bigger than the WWE Draft, and this angle would play into that perfectly. I truly hope that she makes her debut tonight, as that pop would be absolutely huge! It would truly be one of the great debuts in recent memory, and would be a top moment of the year for sure.
