Last night at “Roadblock: End of the Line,” Charlotte Flair once again sat on her throne as the queen, as she defeated Sasha Banks in a terrific 30-minute Iron Man Match to become a 4-time WWE “Raw” Women’s Champion.

No disqualification. Falls count anywhere. “Hell in a Cell.” Heck, we even saw Sasha bleed last night. I don’t recall the last time I’ve seen a female wrestler wear the crimson mask that intensely during a match.
However, the ending to this feud has created a great amount of controversy, as it has culminated in a series of rapid changes of the title in 2016. In fact, I believe that in 7 title contests between the two, the “Raw” women’s championship changed hands 6 times.
Many people say that this is horrible booking, and devalues the legitimacy of the championship. However, I whole-heartedly and respectfully disagree.
In my opinion, the 2016 feud between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair has been booked absolutely PERFECTLY.
And it’s for one simple reason. It proves just how good the two of them really are. And it gives true believability to the fact that on any night, one might be able to beat the other.
One of the major problems that people have about wrestling today is that it is predictable. Everyone seems to have an idea of who is going to win and why they should do so.
But this feud has redefined those assumptions and notions. As I said before, on any given night, Flair and Banks could defeat each other and it would not be a problem. The fact the title has switched hands so many times proves that point.
It makes this rivalry seem real. Like neither superstar is better than the other one.
If this was any other major sport, no one would blink an eye if two teams traded victories back and forth over multiple meetings. Heck, most people would say that this means that the two teams are evenly matched, and would heighten the sense of drama and interest in the game.
The same thing is true with Banks and Flair. Why can’t this aura exist in the world of professional wrestling as well?
No matter what your thoughts are, the feud between these two will go down as one of the greatest women’s feuds in the history of wrestling. And believe me, this is not the last time that we will see these Banks and Flair competing against each other.
And you can take that statement “to the bank.”
