Legendary Tag Team Wins Titles On Smackdown Live

The tag team title reign in the penitentiary has been sent to the realm of deletion. Tonight on Smackdown Live, Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated The Usos to become the blue brand’s Tag Team Champions. This is their 8th reign as champions in WWE.

However, the celebration for the Hardy Boyz would not last long. After the match was over and the celebration was on, Lars Sullivan made his presence known on Smackdown Live and attacked the legendary pair. He left them lying in the wake of his destruction.

Editor’s Opinion:

I’m not sure why the decision was made to put the titles on the Hardys, but I am always OK with them wearing gold! My guess is that the company is trying to build up Sullivan into a machine, who is targeting legends to make a name for himself. Having him attack newly crowned champions is a great way to do it. Either way, congratulations to Matt and Jeff for once again being on top of the Smackdown Live tag team division! That news is simply WONDERFUL!
