According to the latest report from BetWrestling.com, Jinder Mahal is now a favorite to win the WWE Championship; however, the margin has dropped significantly in the last 24 hours. From the article:
With the global markets opening today, there has been some interesting movement in the WWE Backlash PPV on the WWE Network. Jinder Mahal, who became a heavy favorite at -1125 to defeat Randy Orton. It seems the wider market has issued a correction on this match, and while still favored Jinder’s chances have decreased to -405. This is one to keep an eye on as the world is now backing Orton with their money. Will the gamblers continue the trend of backing Orton?
Another wild shift leaves Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin in a dead heat, both “favored” at -120. This is what sports books generally do when they can’t project a winner and big money wagered on either of these men would surely move the line.
Shinsuke Nakamura’s ridiculously favorable odds have been cut but are still strikingly impressive. Odds of -4500 downgraded to +2600 posits the question of why anyone is backing Ziggler at all.
Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles is unchanged seeing Kevin Owens with odds of -720. Styles earlier this week was favored to win, but the odds flipped completely this weekend.
These odds are all graded under “end of broadcast grading”. Often in WWE, the decision is reversed or a match is restarted after the initial decision is commonplace. The “end of broadcast grading” is designed to account these “Dusty Finish” situation.
Here are the latest odds. Note that the minus sign represents the favorite and the plus sign indicates the underdog. The number after the plus or minus is how favored or unfavored the competitors happen to be.
