Jim Ross’ voice has been synonymous with many legendary moments in wrestling for years. However, he may be taking his talents to a new genre of sports.
I’d relocate to Pittsburgh to broadcast @Pirates baseball. https://t.co/L4NJc7XUfL

Former play-by-play announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Tim Neverett, left the organization during the off-season, and will be calling games for the Boston Red Sox in 2016.
This would not be the first time that a wrestling announcer has been associated with the sport of baseball. Longtime WCW commentator Tony Schiavone was a minor league announcer before making the jump to professional wrestling, and currently calls games for the Gwinnett Braves in the International Baseball League.
“Good ‘Ol J.R.” was last seen on WWE programming on the 20th anniversary special of “Monday Night Raw” on January 14, 2013, when he called the main event between John Cena and Dolph Ziggler.
MLB.com has posted an article about this potential hire, and you can read it at this link.
Editor’s Note:
This would be an incredible hire for Pittsburgh if they could make it happen. Wrestling has received more mainstream media attention than it has in the last 10 years, and this move would certainly create some buzz around the Pirates ball club. Imagine JR calling a home run in game 7 of the World Series?
