Rumor Mill: The Rock Could Win the “Royal Rumble” Match

Recently, The Rock got onto Twitter like he normally does as WWE builds towards the “Royal Rumble”, but this time, he teased a surprise for the WWE Universe this April in Dallas. Rocky posted the following tweets last week:

The Rock is teasing a surprise for the people. He hasn’t been announced for anything specific, but he has been announced to be involved in Wrestlemania 32 and has been hyping it up ever since the announcement.

There is obviously many rumors about what The Rock will be doing. If it’ll just be a promo like the last few years, a WWE Hall of Fame induction, or if he’ll be in a feud and wrestling a match. However, that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from running about the possibility of seeing The Rock vs. Roman Reigns this April.

Roman Reigns is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and a lot can change over the next few weeks. Roman is defending his title against Sheamus on Raw tomorrow night in a situation where he absolutely could lose the championship. But if Reigns vs. Rock is being planned, it’s likely WWE won’t do anything serious.

The USA Network is debuting Smackdown on Thursday this week, and it is very possible that The Rock could make his latest return to WWE to reveal major details about his status for Wrestlemania, or even the “Royal Rumble” in a few weeks.

What if The Rock’s surprise is about entering the “Royal Rumble”, winning the match, and moving onto challenge Reigns for the WWE Championship in Dallas at Wrestlemania 32?

Nothing is confirmed and we don’t even know if The Rock is wrestling. But if this becomes a reality, we’ll hear something very soon.
