During the first our of the show, a commercial aired which revealed the nature of the cryptic tweets. In the commercial, several police officers and opened a locked hatch, in which former WCW and WWE superstar Goldberg appeared out of. It was then announced that if you pre-order the WWE 2K17 video game, you will have the opportunity to play as “The Man” as a downloadable character:

Goldberg is most known for his work in WCW during the height of the Monday Night Wars. While rehabbing from an injury that he sustained while in the NFL, he began to train at WCW’s training facility, which was known as the “Power Plant.”
After debuting on “Monday Nitro” on September 22, 1997, Goldberg would go on to amass a record of 173-0, and win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in the process. His first defeat would come at the hands of Kevin Nash at “Starrcade” 1997, due to interference from Scott Hall.
Goldberg would eventually make his WWE debut in 2003. He would go on win the World Heavyweight Championship one time, before leaving the company after WrestleMania 20 in 2004.
Editor’s Note:
I should have known that #Hatch would be something silly like this. The last time WWE trolled us like this was a couple of years ago, when we thought Sting was going to make his debut in the company. He ended up just being a downloadable character in WWE 2K15. However, if this leads to a true Goldberg return, I would be OK with that!
