It had been previously reported that WWE’s upcoming Crown Jewel event was in danger of not happening, due to pressure from United States Senators as a result of the ongoing negative relations between Saudi Arabia and the USA.
According to a report from F4WOnline, the event has been removed from the official calendar on WWE.com. However, Dave Meltzer tweeted out earlier today that WWE is planning to hold the event as scheduled:
WWE says Saudi Arabia show is still on as scheduled.

There are several major matches being advertised for the event, including the reuniting of D-Generation X. Triple H and Shawn Michaels are scheduled to compete against The Brothers of Destruction, The Undertaker and Kane, in Michaels first match in the company in over 8 years.
You can see a video of the match being made below:
Supposedly, WWE does have a backup plan in place, should the event be cancelled.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is a tricky one. When you are getting pressure from politicians to cancel an event, you know it’s a big deal. However, their first show from Saudi Arabia, the Greatest Royal Rumble, did such great numbers, plus the fans really enjoyed it. By not having the show in Saudi Arabia, you are punishing their fans, who more than likely have nothing to do with the issues between the two countries. This is a tough call.
