Well, this one is interesting.

Over the weekend, Cody Rhodes held a Q&A session over Twitter, and took some questions from the fans. One particular question has gained some interest on social media.

A fan asked if Vince McMahon unfairly holds back talent that comes up from NXT. Rhodes responded with the following:

“He doesn’t hold anybody back. A lot of times it’s hard for fans to accept that some of their favorites have a ways to go or that they become lazy after they get that first LE check. Stardust for example didn’t go beyond tag gold cuz’ I wasn’t improving & I also got outta’ shape.”

Stardust was a character that Rhodes portrayed a few years ago, and is similar to his brother, Dustin’s character, Goldust. You can see a clip of him in an interview with Michael Cole below:

Rhodes was last on the WWE roster in May of 2016. Since then, he has spent time on the Independent Circuit, ROH, Impact and NJPW, where is a current member of Bullet Club.

Editor’s Opinion:

Good for Cody. It’s nice to see that even though things didn’t work out for him in WWE, he has enough respect for the business to impress hard work and opportunity towards others.
