WWE Japan has announced that despite being advertised, Bray Wyatt will not be traveling with the company or performing during their upcoming tour of “The Land of the Rising Sun.” He was originally supposed to compete against Shinsuke Nakamura on July 1, as well as compete in a Fatal-4-Way match against Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose on July 2.
The reason behind Wyatt’s absence, as well as a replacement for him have not been announced.
Wyatt made his return to WWE programming this past week on “Monday Night Raw.” Himself and the Wyatt Family were cutting a promo about their return to the company, when they were interrupted by The New Day.
“The Eater of Worlds” has been on the shelf since suffering a calf injury on April 13 of this year.
It should also be noted that Dean Ambrose is replacing Roman Reigns’ at the upcoming live events on these days, due to his suspension that occurred earlier this week.
Editor’s Note:
The only reason that I can see for Wyatt being pulled from the tour is that his injury has not recovered as well as the doctor’s had originally foreseen, and he needs a little more time to heal. While he is a polarizing enough of a a figure that he doesn’t have to wrestle that often, the fact that he is back on TV means that he needs to be in a ring sooner or later. Hopefully we will gain more information on this story in the days ahead.
