Austin Theory was recently a guest on The Babyface’s Podcast where he discussed several topics. Among them were his appearance at WrestleMania 40, the rumor that he and Grayson Waller were not going to be in the match, and more.
Below are some highlights from the interview:
Theory on competing at WrestleMania 40:
“I gotta say, one of the coolest things about being in a ladder match at WrestleMania, I believe WrestleMania 25 was one of the WrestleMania’s in the past that had a ladder match. It was for a (Money in the Bank) briefcase. For me, it was such a cool moment to be that kid again and be in a ladder match at WrestleMania. The match that I remember watching and thinking that was the coolest match on the card, and now I’m in that match, and not only that, but I am becoming the new Tag Team Champion with Grayson Waller. Living the dream, dude.”
Theory on the rumor that he wasn’t going to be in the ladder match:
“I didn’t see it, but I heard a lot about it. I was like, ‘Wow, somebody just wakes up and types something on the internet, and everybody believes it.’ I love it because it explains that there is just a bunch of idiots out there. When it comes to me and Grayson Waller, there was no way we weren’t going to be in the tag team ladder match. We’re the best team, all-around, on both rosters. Completely.”
