Showdown? There are times when you see two wrestlers get in a ring together and you just know that you are going to see something special. You can feel the atmosphere and everything comes together to make it something fans want to see. That was the case earlier this year and it was a heck of a tease. Now one of the wrestlers involved is talking about what it could mean under the right circumstances.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The List Grows: Another WWE Veteran’s Contract Expiring In A Few Weeks

During an interview with Alex McCarthy, Gunther spoke about a possible match with Brock Lesnar. Gunther said that he viewed Lesnar as the Final Boss of WWE and viewed himself as getting to that point one day, which would require facing Lesnar at some point. He said that he was not that informed about Lesnar’s current status, but he would be up for a match between the two, saying their staredown at the Royal Rumble was enough of a confirmation that fans wanted to see it.

This would be big. Check out their interaction and the two of them on their own:

Opinion: Well yeah, that would certainly be a huge match and it makes sense that Gunther would want it to happen. At the same time, it is hard to fathom that it will happen at any point in the near future, as I’m not sure how well the fans would receive Lesnar no matter what he is doing. Lesnar was accused of some rather serious and awful stuff and even though he isn’t the main name in the McMahon lawsuit, he is involved in some way and that is enough.

What do you think of Gunther’s comments? Will a match with Lesnar happen? Let us know in the comments below.
